No move of those is helpful..

2 salary dumps. One of which will last for 5 more seasons. You'll have to eat more of Zaitsev's and/or add more than just a 3rd to take on a cap dump of that size for a player who has performed as absolutely poorly as he has. Brendan Smith is a healthy scratch half the time, and he has put more points in less games. Not taking 5 more years of someone being outperformed by Brendan Smith for only a 3rd.

Ozhiganov is better than Beaulieu in almost everything.. also if I can remember correctly, we have Gauthier who is cheaper version of Boyle..

If I were TOR, I would pay for someone to take Zaitsev off your hands. A real payment, not Ennis. Zaitsev and a 2nd/3rd for a B prospect. Don't retain, that defeats the purpose of a cap dump.

Lol at what is Beaulieu better? Ozhiganov is stable in his own zone, plays smartly.. Beaulieu is basically Gardiner without offensive touch.. also we dont need Boyle if we have Gauthier. He plays his role well. Would I like Boyle? Sure.. but I would not pay the rental price for him.. its waste of picks.

The only way we move zaitsev is if we have cap issues, at that point we would not need to pay to move him. Due to his contract we would not get much back but we certainly wouldn’t need to pay.

Take it from a Blackhawks fan. Patrick Sharp and Stephen John to Dallas for Trevor Daley and Ryan Garbut...both sharp and John > Daley. If you NEED to trade him for cap space...it'll be tough

If we move zaitsev it will be for a fourth or a nothing prospect. Not going to get anything worthwhile I don’t think. He is a solid player just a bit overpaid.

One of the Leafs biggest needs is a right handed shooting defensemen.. you've just moved 4 of them out of the organization and brought back 0 of them. None of these moves are helpful at all

Zaitsev has zero trade value! Nobody will take him unless you pay them to do it.
