Description
Yesterday, GMJR said that when all the centres are healthy, Bjugstad will probably go on the RW.
As it stands, the Pens have Simon/Rust on the 1st, Kessel on 2nd and Hornqvist on 3rd. On the LW, its Guentzel on 1st, Simon/Rust on 2nd and Pearson on 3rd. If Bjugstad was to go on the RW, it probably means that one of Simon/Rust would have to go on the 4th, which doesn't seem wise to do. An even crazier thing would be to throw one of Kessel, Hornqvist or Bjugstad on the 4th.. so what will they do?
I believe the 4C will be Sid, Geno, McCann and Cullen, from what I understand from GMJR.
Would you be okay with having one of Rust/Simon on the 4th? Is there something still in the works?

just from last night i'd like to see Bjugstad stay as the 3C with rust and kessel on the wings , they all had some chemistry. pens still have their first which likely won't last very long, gmjr probably will use that first and a trade chip like Simon and jarry to bring in ferland or somebody

Yea i think they looked so good. Bjugstad is like the centre i wanted when i did tom pyatt from ottawa to pens armchair gms. Theyre great defensive shot blocking centres like Bonino. Rust is fast like Hagelin. It really gave me HBK vibes.

And @LetsTalkNHL i think it will either be simon on the 4th or theyll both move to the left. Bleuger will play on the right on the rth like hes been doing and swap with reese

rust is basically a right handed hagelin, but better hands, shot , ect. i don't think there will be another HBK line, that was just pure magic. so much fun to watch

With this current roster, I already don't know who will be left out once ZAR returns.. If we do bring in someone for our top 6, I don't know if id like it. Giving up a 1st for a rental doesn't seem ideal, and if we want to bring in someone who's signed past this year, well have to get rid of someone with cap, who'd probably be Olli Maatta, and I doubt GMJR does it. Its a tough call..

I think Bjugstad is the logical 3C too! Just don't know what happens with the 4th line when ZAR returns :/

ZAR & simon are probably on the table as far as a trade goes. i wouldn't have a problem trading either of them for Ferland. that's the type of guy the pens need. especially come playoffs and the eventual Caps series. gonna be a lot of gooning going on from WSH. ferland can play that style as well as score.

The thing is Carolina is only 3 points out of a playoff spot, and some people have said that maybe they try and make the playoffs. Of course, we can sell off pieces for Ferland, but he won't sign with us on July 1st.

canes aren't going to let him walk, and they aren't going to resign him. playoff or not that's just how the canes do business & who says he won't resign ? , people have this assumption that some team is gonna pay out the ass for him in reality he won't make over 3 - 4.5 million. at most. that's affordable for the pens. if pens would trade for him and he's around those star players he'll want to stay

Fair enough.. it was said that hell be asking for Tom Wilson money... although I can't see him make that much, he probably cracks the 4.5M mark. If the Pens don't trade anyone, it won't be affordable. They'll have to move a few guys to make it work. Id love to keep him around if possible though!

i heard about that tbh but do you think tom wilson have gotten that big extension if the caps didn't win the cup? i think that plays a big factor into why wilson got overpaid, i mean the guy has never cracked 20 goals or 40 points in a season. and then in the playoffs he has 15 points in 21 games and gets a huge overpay. now ferland on the other hand has cracked 40 points and 20 goals once. but hasn't done much of anything in the playoffs, it wouldn't surprise me if he got a similar style deal but i doubt it goes over 5 million per , all in all he's def someone i want on our team, especially when they have to play against the caps
