Let the offer sheet be presented instead of "fearing "an offer sheet. Even if Arizona or whoever presents an offer sheet, it doesn't mean a player have to sign it. IMO, Matthews doesn't want sign long term for Phoenix anyway. He would rather be a big fish in big market right now....probably forever. Matthews can take an unsigned offer sheet for leverage in negotiations with the Leafs.

I think I would rather wait for the offer and if Matthews signs it and it is too rich for the leafs to match they should let him go and take the four first round picks and keep the development rotation of good young players going.
