Why wouldn’t he? Dallas has done nothing but show him disrespect in the last little bit and he’s be playing with one of the best players in the league .. Not to mention he’s be closer to B.C

Explain please,, unless I’m missing something Benn is one of the best power fwds In the game he’s better then Draisaitl spooner and faksa are a wash and the 2nd (which I suppose you could turn to a 3rd) makes up for the difference between Benn and Draisaitl

Benn is a 29 year old power forward who is showing signs of decline, and injury. He’s signed until he’s 36 at big, big money. Draisaitl is getting better and better, is 23, and signed through 29, for less. Draisaitl isn’t that far from doubling benns production this year

Fair enough I personally think Benns stats would be greatly increased if he was playing with mcdavid (as Draisaitl is)

Spooner is not doing much this year. Draisaitl is the best offensive player in the trade right now and should keep improving, becuase he's also the youngest, but Edmonton gets two good two-way forwards, one of whom has won an Art Ross Trophy. It's probably too big of a risk for either side to take, but there's potential that either team could come out ahead.

Of course, there are cheaper, smaller ways Edmonton could try to get better defensively, but where's the fun in that?

Dallas happily accepts. And benn and McDavid would be an absolute unit
