Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Relatively mild tdl this year. Nyquist and frk go to a offensively starved playoff team that has a logjam on defense. We receive a young established d-man. Vanek walks in f.a. on D kroner and witkowski are gone at season's end making room for cholowski and hronek full time next year. We finish the year with cholowski, Jenson, green, dekeyser, kronwall, ericsson, brodin and daley/hronek depending on a surprising Daley move. Hopefully Ericsson or Daley is the 7th d-man next yr. Howie is resigned to a cheaper 2 year deal and Jensen is resigned as well. Zadina and svech have room to try to make it next year.

Minnesota says no. They will move out a dman for scoring but it won't be for a veteran, more likely a young player with term, especially if thier including two 2nd round picks with him.

Detroit would be very lucky to get that kind of return for Nyquist

I don't hate the trade, I just don't know if MIN makes a move for a rental when they're a fringe playoff team.

All good points. I tend to agree that this particular deal is more likely not to happen than too but I wanted to illustrate in principle how i think the tdl will probably go and the things we'll likely focus on getting in return. A rough sketch i guess. The NTC'S make everything so annoying. I think that's a high ask but not ridiculous seeing as I think they've kinda set a rough price for nyquist at a 2nd and player. In hindsight maybe dallas and/or col could be more likely partners.
