Flyers can keep JVR and his $7M per, Alzner a better buyout option for Habs
& Shaw is playing better this year than JVR

Not really a Lucic contract. He's been fine for us. Has no NMC/NTC, 4 years after this one. I think it'll likely be in that realm of being bad in the final 2 contract years. Not a big fan of the Shaw or Alzner contract.

i love Shaw , so does his teammates .
as Domi said ''anyone who doesnt like Shaw doesnt know hockey or understand what he brings ''

Domi's been pretty annoyed with people ****ting on him speaking out at the MTL Media during Shaw 17 point in 16 game run with Drouin-Domi before getting injured .

Alzner's a bad contract but only people who never scored a goal in a hockey game or put on a set of goalie pads and lead your team to a win can ignore what Shaw brings .(aka fantasy league millennials who see Cap as more important then Value or what someone brings to the table )

Meh. Flyers have a bunch of so called "good locker room guys" and we're doing poorly. I admit it can't be ignored, but I also don't think it should raise his value by very much. Just my take (yes, I've played hockey).

i dont think you did to be honest as you still dont comprehend the role Shaw plays

when he's asked by the coach to play 4th line Grinder he's usually offensive leader in Hits .

when asked to play third line to mentor Chuck and Lehkonen his first year he picked up his Possession game and both youth helped put us on their backs and secure our last playoff run (Galchenyuk lead the league in OT GWG and Lehkonen in the final playoff push mounted 11 pts and 6 goals in 12 games 3 GWG's included in his rookie year .

when asked to play with Drouin-Domi because they were struggling since Byron's Injury he went and Drouin both went on 5 game point streaks and Shaw scored 17 points in 16 games on top line .

when asked to play with Pacioretty last year on 2nd/3rd line during his slump Shaw elevated Danault and Pacioretty's game by being there to feed them pucks from the corner and drive the net .

you ignore what he is to try to pigeon hole him into terms you are comfortable with is how i know you've never actually played hockey as people who have dont talk in Fantasy League terms about what a player brings as they see the game as Chess while the rest just see Checkers

Jesus Christ. You must have a thick skull. "You don't agree with what I'm saying so you must have never played hockey". I'm not super into advanced stats, nor do I play fantasy hockey. Shaw isn't a bad player (can play anywhere in a lineup), but intangibles by itsself doesn't win games. Also, I've played hockey for almost 10 years if you're still wondering.

Sorry for the first sentence. Didn't mean to be that rude. Just frustrated when people say I've never played.
