I do have to disagree. Bjork and Heinen are going to be no better than 3rd liners. Krug has high value but continues to be a defensive liability. He is -8 second last of the team. I’ll give beastmode credit. We may not want clutterbuck but if we can get Eberle for Krug plus Bjork or Heinen I would jump at the chance.

The easy trade is a 2nd rounder + Cehlarik and an AHL defenseman who's not Lauzon Vaakanainen or Zboril for Eberle.

The thing no-one mentioned was how you think Clutterbuck is any better than Backes and would play above him in the lineup. I find that humorous because Backes is and probably always will be a higher level player than Clutterbuck who's an overpaid 4th liner with a severe lack of skill.

I would agree with you on the easy trade if that would get you eberle. I think NY might want more, but I agree Lauzon amd Vaak are not an option, they will both be top 4 D. I’d be willing to part with Zboril for Eberle, because I’m not sold on his perceived potential. I could be wrong.

The reason I picked Clutterbuck (huge risk I know) but I see him as some veteran depth and a possible 2011 Rich Peverly during a Stanley cup run. But I recognize it could flat out be a failed experiment.
