Description

We have cap space as a result of LTIR ( Zetterberg & Franzen). Make deals for two terrible players with teams retaining 50% and giving up high draft picks. Detroit then buys out both and waives them with no intentions of ever playing them in the Winged wheel.

If teams are retaining half of the contracts salary they arent going to give up high picks also... especially LAK and EDM who have a chance at the 1st overall pick

Both players have multiple years left on their awful contracts. There has to be some sort of price to pay to get out of the wasted roster spots and the wasted salary. Plus LA gets a second in return for an unprotected 1st rounder.

It's way too much for the Oilers to give up, plus Lucic's MMC has to be considered. I think Phaneuf's M NTC nixes the deal too. Sign and trade mid season. C'mon.

Lucic has reportedly asked for a trade. Maybe it’s just a rumour who knows, but I’m sure he would consider waiving his NMC and common if you don’t think Chirelli is capable of such a crazy move remember he traded away Seguin, Thorton, Hall, Eberle..... it’s not that far fetched.
