The first trade is meh. Marincin has been okay this year and I know the majority would want some experience on the back end going into the playoffs so it’s a toss up, still not sure the rangers like that deal though.

Well, aside from the facts that we're robbing Pittsburgh blind AND that BOTH Brassard and Schultz have NTC's, doesn't this put us in a bad position vis-a-vis bonus carryover into next year?

What concept??? That the leafs can make what ever trade they want and because toronto is the Center of the universe someone accepts? You’re trading a second line Center and top 4 offensive D for an AHL forward and a third pairing over paid D. Get a clue man your concept is as moronic as the trade.

Penguins need cap space as they are over if they carry on as is. They are doing fine without Schultz (8-2-0 L10) and with the cap space from the two they have room to sign another forward if needed. Also Gauthier will be worth more going forward for them. I am not an expert at values but Brassard is no 2nd line center so value should be close, maybe a higher pick from Toronto included or instead of pick sent Connor Brown as they could use a better winger on the 4th line. NTC's do not mean cant be traded and Toronto is a viable option for both of them as there are many other teams they would rather not go to.
Like I said Not likely to happen.
