Scheifele + Trouba

Scheif is on a hero contract and an absolute beast and Trouba/Gardiner are both on expring deals.

Mathews > Scheif
Trouba > Gardiner
So... = ?

Makes sense, however Scheif at $6.125M>Matthews at $11M I wouldn't make that deal if I'm Winnipeg.

EDIT: What's even stopping Matthews at 11M? He can easily get 12-14. I just said 11 because I've been copying everyone on this site when really he's already better than Tavares.

Tavares at 11 million is a full UFA contract. Matthews will be a RFA/UFA combined contract. Tavares RFA was 5.5 mil and UFA 11 mil. So if you say that Matthews is worth 4 years at 8.5 mil as RFA (more than MacKinnon and Scheiffle) and 4 years at 13.5 mil as UFA that averages to 8 years at 11 mil.
Kane and Toews were 6.3 mil RFA and 10.5 Mil UFA
Kucherov 4.76 mil RFA and 9.5 mil UFA

I think he is the most underrated player in the league right now. Contract, playing ability, leadership, gritt, size.

Matthews is already better than Tavares. I think bridge dealing him would be a mistake. His cap hit will only go up.

I was not saying bridge him. I was coming up with a logical breakdown on a valuation of a 8 year 11 million deal.
