Wings have zero interest in Johnson and his 4 years remaining at 3 million plus. Olund is a nice two way prospect that the Wings have in Glendening and Ehn.

Wings have several prospects that are cost controlled in Grand Rapids and have Cholowski emerging as a very good defensman. Johnson has not been good with Pittsburg and Wings have same players in Dekeyser and Ericsson already.

I have a real hard time the blues take that trade.

Also we don't really want Daley back. He's 35 now, that ship has sailed I also doube Detroit takes JJ for him.

How does that work? You have about 1.6 mil in cap space with Schultz on LTIR. When he comes back, his 5.5 mil cap hit will be counted again, so wouldn’t that force the team over the cap?

Cap isnt a single time frame snap shot. Its worked out over the year. So even with no injuries a team with 1 mil in cap space all the way up to the TDL now actually has cap space for a player with a hit well above 1 million as there is only a short window left to pay. Similar will apply with a player coming back from LTIR. Every day they were gone and the team is under cap is a day once they are back the team could be "over cap".

I like how going all in means getting trevor Daley and Hagelin back...... St louis is making that trade either. a 1st, a spare parts defensmen, unproven goalie prospect with upside and a question mark prospect for Schenn and a young defensmen...... They are going to want someone that is a tangible NHL player. Probably someone young and proven
