No thanks from Carolina and St Louis

Seen a few trades with Gardiner going to STL. We suck this year and he's a UFA, so I don't see the need. Maybe we could flip him but there's no guarantee we'd get anything worthwhile from that (e.g. you're renting Ferland for a 2nd), especially if he's playing on this lousy Blues team with Allen in net behind him.

If Pietrangelo isn't worth it to the Leafs because it's for 1.5 yrs, then Gardiner can't have any trade value to the Blues.

That's a good point A_K... prob should change that to liljegren or sandin then move the first to a second. Leafs D could use the size over the next three years more then the skill guys...

Leafs might as well keep gardiner as an own rental...

As a blues fan, what do you thing of that package... Kappy, Liljegren, and a second for Parayko...

It's a solid package. I'm still of the opinion that Parayko shouldn't be traded. But getting a couple promising young players and a pick isn't unreasonable.
