I believe Colorado would be all over that. Definitely would make them a serious cup contender. STL would want more items in that deal, though.

Dam, did not realize it was the OTT pick... my bad. But Kessel would be a great addition for a deep playoff run, would he not? Losing 1 young player and 2 picks (Change the OTT pick) would be a steal. If the Kessel experiment does not work, trade him elsewhere for more youth. Lots of teams have had interest in Phil.

Heard STL is looking to move anybody but young core. This gets them younger and with more options from a Cap stand-point down the road. I figure the players along are a fair deal and the 2 1st is for the retaining of salaries. The only "bad" player in there is Brassard, but I need the cap space....

Not even gonna comment on the trades.
But I will say I was screaming for the Pens to sign Kerfoot and they didn't. They should have handed him a starting position with a bow tied to it last year when they had McKegg and Carter R as 3-4C.
Instead they didn't do **** and it cost them.
Just like they should have put a real effort to sign Brinks this year and they didn't. They need to be more active with attracting these kind of players. Offer up a starting role where they have holes. They wouldn't be chasing so much if they did.

If the Pens want to improve, now or in the future, they need cap space. So it's either Phil, Horny, or Letang that need to be traded if they expect to get someone who can help and not just be a depth player.
