Not that I am at all a fan of Hamilton but isn't that a massive overpay for Schenn? Would you give Hamilton to TO for Kadri? Now before you go off on me for being a Leafs homer, compare Kadri and Schenns career numbers, and their current contracts and then answer my questions.

Not at all, I’m a Kadri fan and agree with you. That may be a bit too much for their cap situation though. If they choose to hold a grudge against Willy, he could also be a possibility. I was just spitballing a few deals with some of the rumored available players.

The point I was getting at is more along the lines of value for Hamilton. If he's worth Schenn 1 for 1, then wouldn't you try to get Kadri instead? He's on a better contract with more term and has been a better player through out his career than Schenn has been. Again not that I would want Hamilton, I am not at all a fan of him, but I think the Canes are selling themselves really short with this deal. For crying out loud, this site has been littered with Pesce for Nylander deals and Nylander is twice as valuable as Kadri is.
