Ideally and Realistically Oilers Team for next year

Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Forwards:
Stempniak would be ideal for 3rd Line RW. If not available Parenteau would be a good substitute.
Matthais for 3rd Line Center. Helm or Lewis would be good alternatives

Goalie:
Stalock or equivalent signed for 1 year to give LB another year of development in the AHL

Defence:
Demers will be signed and I think it will be similar to what Sekera was signed for,
Shattenkirk is likely guy Oilers trade for. Minor guys given up based on the fact he would be a UFA at the end of the year. Vatanen would be greta but divison rivals do not likely trade and Barrie is a reach at this point, Oilers will draft a Right Side defense with their 4th Overall Draft Pick

Honestly then I do not think its worth it unless Shattenkirk is locked up to a long term contract. That pick becomes a RH Defenceman that replaces Shattenkirk in 3-4 years and would likely be better

Oh please, Shattenkirk is good but he's a UFA soon and never going to be considered a Norris calibre dman. No way he's worth that pick. Want a better idea of what it will cost?

See Keith Yandle to NYR trade. It will take something similar to that to get Shatty.
