Hudon can play that role and generate offence. He could use a new start for sure. He had 30pts last year as a rookie in the NHL and was a ppg player in the AHL before that. Montreal has too many of these 2nd/3rd line winger and need to move on from at least one. Hudon is the one that is the most likely to go.

As for Schlemko, the Penguins have a log jam in defense at the moment. Dumo Letang, Pettersson, Riikola, Oleksiak, JJ (ugh), Maatta and Schultz.
Adding another D isn't really the situation they want to be in which is why they are looking to dump out Maatta.
My guess is they are looking for Speed with decent hands for a top 9 role.

No, I dont see that working out... Only bc GMJR loves Maatta and will only trade him if the value is there....
Figure that Maatta is our 3rd highest TOI guy of all Dmen and sometimes gets more minutes than Dumo .
- I kno ppl on here crush him bc of his speed but The kid is only 24 , still has upside but also can play any situation on ice , has 2-Rings, and sh*t ton of playoff exp.
so the only way we trade him is for a 2nd line player that has good numbers too... There is no way we would trade for someone who MITE be a 3rd liner.
