I'd rather we keep the pick. The Wild have proven they aren't making a deep run with this roster for 6 years in a row and adding a 3rd liner isn't going to magically change that.

I think this is the last chance to win. Next year rebuild is only thing that makes sense

The problem is that this team doesn't have a chance to win, not even this year. They can make the playoffs but can't go anywhere once they do which has been proven for 6 years. If we rebuild next year why would we trade away a 2nd, which would help with that? Greenway and Zucker were both 2nd round picks and Zucker has shown he's a 30+ goal scorer and Greenway probably has a 25g/60p ceiling. So we're trading away a potential player with that ceiling for less than a year of a guy who has consistently between 40-50 points? No thanks from me. Like I said, I'd rather just keep the pick. Adding rentals for high picks has never worked out for us, see the Hanzal trade. If we're in the playoffs at the deadline, great, but I wouldn't give up any picks for rentals.

you get picks back when Granlund, Spurgeon and Coyle are traded next season

Trading Granlund is a pretty bad idea, but if the return is large enough I think any GM would be foolish to not consider it. I think Spurgeon and Coyle are both likely gone within the next year or two. This year's draft is loaded with talent so that's why I'm not too keen on giving up picks this year, especially since the Wild have traded away 3 1sts (if you count Tuch) and 4 2nds in the past 6 drafts.

I don't mind trading a 2nd, depending on where they are at in the standings. If it's going to be a late 2nd rounder then I don't care, if it's an early 2nd rounder then I want to keep it.

Trading Granny should be on the table. He's not the guy you build a team around, he's a complimentary player. The Wild just don't have the goal scorers to get the most out of him. He's going to get a big contract for his play from his prime, but will be leaving his prime soon after the contract is signed. I'm not saying take a bucket of pucks for him or anything, he'll fetch a quality return. The same thing goes for Spurgeon.
