Deslauriers waived? Mete sent down?

Lehkonen-Kotkanemi-Armia is a lock
they tried it in Pre-season , Kotkanemi gets 1st goal
then after 11 games they decide to try it again and kotkanemi gets his 1st regular season goal followed by his 2nd .

Hudon's out of the future Plans , if he isnt cut this year by our depth he will be next year re-signing Byron killed any chance he had of a future in MTL .

Could just as easily be Peca or Scherbak waived (barring any trades), but someone has to go.

Mete is waiver-exempt and not exactly outplaying Ouellet or Benn right now. Laval might be the best place for him to work on his overall game and gain confidence rather than get stuck in the rotation in Montreal.

Fair enough, I just think Mete is stuck in a rut. they way he plays the game fits better with the Habs current system then Benn and perhaps Ouellett imo. When Weber gets back I'd like to see Mete put with Juulsen (they looked good in pre-season.) Reilly with Weber. and either Ouellett or Benn with Petry. Bury in the AHL or trade Schlemko.

That was the toughest decision I had to make with the lineup, so I could easily rotate it back to:

Lehkonen - Kotkaniemi - Armia
Hudon - Plekanec - Shaw

I don't necessarily agree that Hudon doesn't have a future with the team.

well where does Hudon fit in though ?


i mean at our rate of growth even Gallagher's spots on the line in the next couple seasons if lets say Jesse Ylonen has an amazing 2nd half to his year and turns pro as he and Kotkanemi have chemistry together and Lehkonen-Kotkanemi-Ylonen is young enough to play in MTL another 6-8 years or a Jake Evans known as the Deflection Master of the NCAA who plays a similar style game to Gallagher with less Charisma but as much potential .

MTL should be selling now and gathering picks to insulate their depth pool like we did with Patch and Chucky who gave us Tatar and Domi who've been amazing as well as Suzuki who's one of the Leaders in the OHL this year and a pick in the 2nd round of the most stacked draft since 2003 so if Hudon and Scherbak can help us get more picks i'd take it . (a team like WSH would give up a good pick for a Scherbak to play with Ovi and EDM could use Hudon right now )

also moving Mete down i can live with but only if you bring Kulak up as he's better then Oulette and Benn but was acquired after season start when we had like 8 D up.
Kulak's got speed and plays smart but like Petry his desire to be part of the play leaves his partner to fend for himself but Juulsen's played strong all year and should be up to the task .
