I don't think they would. They LOVE Gardiner and if they could get ANOTHER one.....they'd jump at it. I don't think Faulk or McKeown are spare parts. I think calling them that is an easy barb from us Leaf fans. Realistic expectations is not exactly a strong point for most Leafs fans. Not saying you are one of them but I don't think you can just dismiss a perfectly viable package because of the word "Gardiner". Also, I have yet to see an official statement saying that the Leafs view Faulk as another Gardiner and even if they did, as I said before, they LOVE Gardiner. So yeah Faulk and McKeown on top of draft picks??? I think its an easy yes for the leafs.

I have Nylander at 1st an two 2nds. If someone was to go as high as 2 1sts and 3rd or as low as 1st, 2nd, 3rd i think it falls in the spectrum.

Faulk is worth a 1st, prob a 1st and 3rd. Pair of 2nds might get him.

Pu and RMac are worth 3rds.

So Canes package in this is roughly equivalent to a 1st, 2nd, 4 3rds

I'd be happy to have him. We certainly enjoyed stealing skinner from Carolina. I had several trades proposed for Faulk before getting skinner and winning the lottery.
