Blake will have already sent Will his plane tickets before the ink dries on this trade. Kings walk value wise, nor do Muzzin and Pearson really match anything Toronto needs.

They would want Toffoli and Muzzin and that might get the conversation started.

TT & Muzz is too much for a young player with really one good year on an offensive team. LA is where offense goes to die. So maybe Nylander is a bust. TOR needs D with term on good contract and that's Muzz. They can't keep WN and extend AM. I'm willing to bet Pearson can consistently score 20+ in TOR system. TOR has little leverage and getting these players or lose him for much less (or to KHL) seems fair.

A couple of things.

1) Nylander has back to back 60 points seasons at the age of 22, that would be 2 very good seasons for a kid.
2) The Leafs can sign Nylander and extend Matthews and Marner.
3) Muzzin and Pearson are not worth close to Nylander would would instantly become one of your best players.

1. Yeah, ok, he's got 2 good seasons on an offense-first team. He's a good support player
2. Leafs may be able to sign WN, AM and MM, but at what price? They'll have no blue line to speak of. That's their achilles heel. Giving up WN seems inevitable.
3. Kopitar, Kovalchuck, Carter, Brown, and Doughty (no particular order there) and then Nylander. It's more than goals. It's hard to predict, but I see Nylander only having slightly better numbers than Toffoli. He's a complimentary player. He ain't no Panarin.
