Kapanen or Brown will have to learn to play the right side

Those players are both right wingers. Do you mean one will have to learn to play the left side? Kapanen has played one game in the preseason on the left side.

I hope...lol anyways do i think Kapanen is as skilled as nylander...no. but i do think the way he complements matthews just as well as nylander. If he keeps playing this way hecould easily replace nylander if the right trade is available.

He's good enough to play with Matthews, but Nylander is just better. Nylander may have more raw talent than Marner but he gets zero respect. I have no idea why, fans are fickle.

I get that but in a cap world sometimes teams need to look at complementing star player Crosby had Kunitz for years but would anyone think of kunitz as the best player to play with crosby? Also i disagree about Marner not being as good as nylander. Marner had kadri or bozak the last 2 years and though kadri is a sound hockey player is he as good as matthews? So i just feel if nylander can't except the fact he hasn't proven enough that he can take that skill to generate top 25 pts he shouldn't be getting top 25 money right now that's why i in the past have been saying he should bridge and gamble on himself truly being worth as much as Marner. But if he won't is having him not playing in the NHL help the leafs win?

If you bridge Nylander, he's coming back after 2 years looking for 10 mill +, he'll be coming off 2 years scoring at a point a game pace or higher. He's going to run the 2nd powerplay and play with Matthews, he could lead the team in points as easily as the other guys.

I get that but thats not proven point totals and the leafs cannot take that type of risk right now and have Marner and Matthews.

This year is easy. Plug that number in next year and pay M&M and you see why they can’t pay him that much.
