I don't hate this trade. I do think that New York should give Lehner a decent chance before shipping him away to St. Louis. I also think that the 2nd round pick should become a 3rd, but either way, great idea!

I think its much more likely to go after Bobrovsky, especially after all the offseason moves STL made to compete. Why downgrade in goalies? If STL wants to contend (as their offseason moves suggest), why not go big? I also think he'd be more likely to resign because of Senko.

Or the Blues do the right thing and give Husso a legitimate shot before we have a Bishop 2.0 situation. He's shown in preseason to be good, why not do it and see if he do it? If he does well enough, give him a bridge deal like Gibson got in Anaheim (3 years at 2.3 mil). If he's very successful then sign him long term.

At this point I want Allen gone. Husso could work, you never know. I think We should have claimed Stolarz yesterday but oh well.
