Unless for some reason all the young players end up becoming busts at the NHL level, this would be a really good team. Maybe not the best goalies but then again every year it seems there is someone who comes out of nowhere and plays well above expectations so maybe 2019 it will be Darling.

You're certainly trading for the right 3 pending free agents to help your team where it needs it. The snag may be that you're a little short on draft picks. The Ottawa guys keep insisting on a first-round pick for any of their FA's (at least two for Karlsson or Stone) and Lou Lamoriello isn't going to release any of his FA's without getting a first back, and I don't think your GM wants to go three years without a first-rounder. However, if you could acquire and then re-sign all of them, you would have a very strong team all right.
