As an Avs fan if the pick is top 5 we are looking good as this draft is strong in Centers/Wingers and LHD at the top. Pretty much everything we need for secondary scoring. As for the rest of your signings.

I doubt the Avs resign Varlamov cause he usually misses 30 games a year from his groin that he injures every year. no reason to pay 6 milliion a year. Grubauer is the new starting goalie after he proves himself this year. Pavel Francouz will be resigned to play the backup goalie if he proves he can handle the NA ice after dominating the KHL.

No way the Avs resign Colin wilson and most def at 4 more years. He has been horrible since being traded here.

IF the Avs resign Rants it will be for 7 or 8 years. At 21 years old they will lock him up now.

Soderberg will be on the 3rd or 4th line next year just like he is this year. Martin Kaut will make the team and follow the same path Rants did after playing this year in the AHL.


The Avalanche will have over 30 million cap room with only Rants and Zadorov to resign that will cost over 4million $$$. Everyone is minimum salaries.

I could see them making a push for secondary Scoring with the likes of Panarin, Stone (lol), Duchene (lol), Karlsson (lol) as we could easily sign 2 big time Free Agents and still have left over cap

No idea where Karlsson may want to go but he would be great playing and skating in the Denver altitude. Maybe Sakic has a benevolent side to him and trades that presumed number one pick back to Ottawa for EK.
