Hahahahahaaha hell no. I wouldn't even do Beaulieu for the 11th overall. Unless you massively overpay, he's not going anywhere.

No joke. I think i'd make this trade. Not only does it liberate plenty of cap space to replace those players traded with say (Stamkos), the 11th pick is worth more than any of those players listed right now. Especially if a player like Bean, Sergachev, Jost are still available. If by chance a guy like Jake Bean is available at 11th, he has way more upside than Beaulieu and can actually run a PP.

Plekanec is getting older and won't live up to his remaining contract. Now is the best time to trade him since his value is still high. Beaulieu is massively overated here in Montreal because we have such crappy depth on the blue line and the fact we're scared another 1st rounder doesn't pan out for us. He really hasn't shown all that much and is starting to reach the age where he should be establishing himself by now. For an offensive defenceman he has underwhelmed tremendously. Thank god for his speed and ability to fight because other than that he hasn't shown anything that would mean he will be a top 2 dman in the future.
