why would he come back to a team that traded him.
Furthermore, why would Chicago want him back. They traded him because they knew what a pain he was to deal with. Nothing has changed.

According to a report by Scott Powers (reliable Chicago reporter) Chicago is very much considered by Panarin if he hits free agency next year. Also Q loved Panarin so I don’t know what you are talking about.

They traded him solely for cap certainty. We all loved him on the Hawks, lol.

And The Athletic is reporting he'd seriously consider returning.

of course that is what every FA says, it drives up their market value. But everyday he has the reminder he's been shipped out to columbus middle of no where. I highly doubt he returns to chicago.

It's probably accurate that Panarin won't come back to Chicago (because it'd be hard to fit him in cap-wise) but he was really fond of the team and city, so much so that he was talking about it recently during a Russian interview. Either way Panarin will go to whatever big market team has a decent sized Russian community and pays him his value, and the latter seems to be more difficult for Chicago than a lot of other options, so it is unlikely.

Though if not wanting to be shipped off again was all that mattered, he could just get a NMC - Bowman gives those out regularly so it shouldn't be a problem lol.
