Matthews is worth OEL and Keller by himself and I'd still call that trade a bad idea. TO's centre depth is what will win them cups. Moving the best one they have is just silly. I understand this is for fun but if we try to be logical there is only one way to trade someone like Matthews and it would be for a super elite franchise generational talent. McDavid is the only guy that Matthews would be traded for and yes TO would have to add something else to make it happen. Not a lot but another piece, whether it be a 1st round pick or a prospect. But trading Matthews for a 28 year old defenseman and a very good winger doesn't make any sense for the long term success of the team. They'd essentially go from having the best centre depth to needing to find centre depth again because Matthews is gone.

You really think that TO wouldn't have to add much more to a Mcdavid, Matthews trade.... there is nothing that Toronto has that would even equate to what McDavid brings 20+mins when hes on the ice
