There were only 23 players with 80 or more points last year. I think Nylander has pretty much plateaued. He has been 61 points the last 2 years in his first 2 full years with the Leafs. He might get some residual benefit from Tavares being on the Leafs now, but I'm not sure if that will mean he gets 80 or more points. At least Marner had an increase in points last year. Basically what I am saying is that I think a lot of people are over estimating his net worth. I think Dubas is playing chicken with Nylander to see if he will sign long term at a better price point.
Both Nylander and Dubas want him signed long term so its just a matter of time. And to say a 22 year old has plateaued is folly. If you dig into his advanced stats from last season he had a stretch of terrible luck where he was getting great scoring chances and nothing went in. According to his advanced metrics, he should have scored 30 goals and finished with 70 + points but was snake bitten for a stretch.
Here is my take on Nylander. He could be the most gifted player on the Leafs, even more raw talent than Marner or Matthews. However, he doesn't get after it all the time, when he does, he's utterly dominant, when he doesn't he waits for the play to come to him. If he eliminates those stretches of indifference, I see him being a 80+ point player, maybe if Matthews has a good year as well, he could push past 90 points, he is that good.
With that said, who knows maybe he burns out and stays as a 60 point winger.
