Kerfoot looks too good, and inexpensive for some of the not proven NHLers in the deal. Avs have (finally) a good thing going, I don't think they would like to disrupt their roster.

This is a lot for CGY to pay to get weaker at C and weaker at D.

Here’s the why: Giordano’s pairing is going to be elite with Hamilton, Barrie, or Brodie. No point launching Hamonic yet at his low value point.

Kerfoot is the real deal, but CGY has too much depth on wing for the Top 6, and the team needs to keep developing guys. Czarnik needs a shot at some decent ice time.
