    Frolik on the top line does not work... We tried it this year and uk...
    Next... Smid cap hit 3.5 plus very injury prone... his NHL carrier is over... Buy him out or place on LTIR...
    Plus I will not support any roster that includes Wideman... 1 Big offense only D-man is enough...

    If that's the term and $$ Joe wants... I'm out. Chicago would have traded him already. We can't over pay with term and $$ for depth. Joe had an inflated shooting % this year and benefitted from playing with Backlund (as did Bouma the prior year). He had cushy PP time and couldn't score on it and his production didn't warrant his ice time for the 1st half of the year. He only kicked it into gear when the playoffs were out of sight.

    We'll end up with two bad contracts from "the Backlund effect"
