Dubas fills his roster with super stars at a high cost and loads of depth at low costs. Every year there are guys who'll be willing to take super short term contracts to improve their stock and will look at TO as an opportunity to play with stars. Then they'll sign with teams like the Islanders or Vancouver who like to give term and inflated salary for their character.

Attention Islanders fans, don't mortage the future because you "Need" to replace Tavares. Just take a deep breath and build up some youth and be good in a couple of years. This lineup won't make the playoffs.

overpayement? Dal Colle (another LW Montreal doesn't need) has 0 point in the NHL, and was drafted 4 years ago. I would even say this isn't enough for patches...
