Joe Thornton has signed a new contract with the San Jose Sharks.

It's great to see him going at it, but after tearing the ACL and MCL in both knees in consecutive years, I'm worried about his long term health.

I thought he said he would take league min this year to help spend money on other spots throughout the roster?

Was there any doubt that he would come back to the Sharks?

I wonder if Joe and the Sharks are setting this up for a trade deadline deal to a contender if SJS isn't in the mix.

I'd like to see Joe winning his first cup before his retire. He deserves so badly. This man is a legend.

Can't wait till he signs the same contract next year.
