they're only headaches if you dont know how to use the site you're on to be blunt .

Webers contract 2 years ago sucked but as of right now he's got 12M over 2 seasons then 18m over 6 seasons after that.
Weber's Contract is subject to the NHL Recapture Clause put in to penalize teams who sign massive contracts so IF he retires or is bought out 6m of his cap in the final 4 years fall out NSH for being ass hats .

in reality paying 12m over 2 years while webers still a solid player is worth it knowing you can buy him out after that easily while punishing NSH.

MTL isnt moving Weber anyways we just have stupid fans who like yourself talk ironically about contracts they havent read

Fully aware of the implications of Webers contract. . . And Montreals wanting to move him so they can show moRe for the Subban trade. All I'm saying is don't look to Toronto to bail out an MB mistake!

retaining salary for MTL means **** all we're one of the biggest cash machines in all sports .
retaining Cap is where you'd act like you are now .

only teams like CBJ,MIN ,FLA,ARZ,NJD and teams like that worry about Salary being retained because they can barely afford to invest in themselves but for MTL it would be cap we would refuse to take on

no we aren't ''wanting to move him'' and Subban is going to be moved again to keep Josi and Ellis as he's proven he's not the Guy NSH was hoping for instead a 2nd pairing mainstay .(weber however was undisputed #1 D on both teams )

dumb fans do which make up 5% of our fanbase but thats it .(and 5% of our fanbase could fill most of the bottom NHL teams arena's)
Sadly our Fans have been like this forever even during the Roy Days Everyone but Roy was treated like **** until the won the cup and even then it just took 1 bad season and the fans were demanding heads which the ownership gave them destroying our team over the next 3 seasons because he was dumb enough to let the threat of boycotting Molsons Beer intimidate them into making changes for the worst

There is absolutely no chance that the Leafs are making that deal with Montreal and giving up the rights to Nylander, Brown and a 1rst round pick for 3 bad contracts. The Montreal owner needs to wake up and fire Bergavin as he is eroding the team's franchise value and fan base. Bergavin is a master at handing out crazy deals to save his own job.
