may be second on any other team but for MTL 1st line by a mile desperate need of theres. Management loves Lucic in MTL. and as I said in the discription. might take a first and another prospect.

everything I've seen this off season says that MTL's brass has no interest in Lucic and they're happy they missed on him

so I don't think you get the team's sparkplug for him

Habs would love to add a centre but they're not going to rip the guts out of their team to acquire the Nuge and an albatross

yes im sure it wouldnt happen either as these size of trade rarely ever do. it helps both teams in areas of needs the cost would go up more on getting gallagher vs Lucic. yes he is expensive but teams love his attitude and presence on the ice and dressing room. last year was a down year but he is also a career 20G scorer. my bet is he bounces back

I don't think you were listening very well. all the talk about Lucic connection to the Habs was that they were his second choice when he signed with EDM. Bob McKenzie, and Pierre Lebrun have already stated that MTL has no interest in him.

It’s not about what he will be on the Habs, just because he would play top line minutes doesn’t make him a top line player. MTL doesn’t love Lucic and already have ridiculous LW depth, all of who I would rather give a shot to then have Lucic take playing time away from them. I think your right in the value is adding a first and a prospect, just would be Have to be an adjustable pieces to make it a good hockey trade.

Habs would be interested in getting the Nuge and might take Lucic to get him. But not for anything near what you have. The Oil will have to pay whoever takes Lucic for doing them a favour and pay them well.

Sure, I bet the Habs would listen on almost any offer if RNH was in it. but the second you add Lucic. That's the second I say that Alzner has to go the other way, I'm not against taking on Lucic personally, but if Pacthes is going the other way (Gallagher is not for sale, you can stop trying) and it's for RNH and Lucic, Alzner has to be included too. or no deal.

every montreal fan great overvalues there players look at galchenyuk. everyone was saying he was worth RNH + not going to happen. Pachys does have as much value as RNH 1. because he is a winger 2. he has one year left on his deal. Gallagher is a good player but he is not an allstar which MTL fans think he is. by the time MTL is in any position to win he will be past his prime. might as well get some assest and build for the future with the young center you drafted.

Hence RNH will give that play sheltered minutes when he arrives let him develop fully
Lucic give a presence so no one takes advantage of younger prospects.
Jones is a good defensive prospect another area where MTL Struggles.
Plus 2nd tounder which i said might have to be bumped up to a 1st+ gives them more key pieces in one of the deepest drafts coming up
