That seems to be fair price Nylander (a player taken 20th over all, a pick probably in the 20's and a 7 round pick, just about fair for a player taken 8th over all), I then have to presume Botterill is including O'Reilly as a salary dump?

I guess when I corrected many posts for giving up a 2nd for Sheary, everyone thought I way undervaluing Sheary, well here he is for fourth, just about right. Let's say Botterill plays Hunwick, then he has a normal season 10 to 15 pts, Botterill retains 50% of his salary and is able to trade him for 3rd at the TDL. Botterill would have gotten Sheary for pretty much nothing for him, a third for a third?

I don't hate it. Definitely doesn't help the sabres short-term, but long term it could work out fantastic. Key word being "could".
