Edmonton is asking for a 1st and Stone and likely more for Draisaitl. I'm not saying he's worth more than Stone but the Oilers have Draisaitl as an elite 2nd line centre (Hasn't really proven he's elite playing centre), I'm just saying Edmonton will argue that makes him worth a hell of a lot more than Stone who is an older player and is only a winger.

Stone and Namnestikov trades are good...the rest of the trades are sort of lopsided for us. Smith and Andy are not worth that much

No way. Stone has more points per game than Draisaitl and over all I would much rather have Stone than Draisaitl

Only sens fans will agree with you. Stone has been a good but not elite winger for his career and then had over a point a game last season. He's never scored 30 goals (was on pace for that last year) while Draisaitl has outscored him in his second and 3rd years in the season.

Honeslty bud, you have zero legs to stand on. Not saying he isn't good, just no one outside of the Ottawa fan base is going to agree with you.

Thats just not true. Draisaitl had 71 2 years ago and 70 points last year. Stone has hit a point a game 1 time.

Listen....Stone had more points per game than Draisaitl. He carried the team on his back. He continuously leads the league in takeaways. He is one of the best two way forwards in the league and does it all at both ends. That is my opinion and if your opinion is different than that is totally fine.

If you throw out Draisaitl's 18 YO season, when he shouldn't have been in the NHL, he has a higher PPG than Stone. Also, Draisaitl is 22 now, whereas Stone didn't even become a full time NHLer until he was 22.

I'm a Flames fan and like both players, but saying Stone is better than Draisaitl and EDM should add a pick to the deal is crazy.

I disagree. Stone had more points last year per game and that is a fact. I personally think he is a better player overall IMO. I think one for one is fair value wise though.

Though you could be correct, you have to consider position they both play. Centers are worth more then wingers and Dmen are usually worth more the centers.
I would rather have the 22 year old Center that has had back to back 70 point season and has proven he can preform in playoffs(given it was a one time thing) then Stone. Stone is still a very good player but I prefer Centers instead of wingers, like most of the league does.

Draisaitl is a center and stone is a RW: This is why ottawa needs to ad a first

Sure but the Oilers are already stacked at center....McDavid/Nuge/Strome. The trade would be 100% worth it for the Oilers trading a top line center who they don't really need for a top line winger who they desperately need.

You're definitely entitled to your opinion on that, but I wouldn't trade a 22 year old centre already signed long term straight up for a 26 year old, RFA winger, even it the players themselves are similar skill level.

Then they trade RNH. Draisaitl has two 70+ point seasons under his belt. He had more points than Stone last year and is 4 years younger. This trade is incredibly one sided in Ottawa's favor. I like RNH for Stone straight up. Helps both teams. But Drai and a 2nd for a Stone? That's insulting.

Points per game is not the only metric with which you evaluate players...
