Description

Used Grubauer trade as slight comparable take on bad contract (Clarkson, Orpik) and gets Subban and give up a 2nd.

The EDM trade with Skinner and Faulk both on the block and EDM looking for PowerPlay defensman quarterback that is Faulk fits the bill and Oilers may not want to give up Nuge so Hurricanes might have to add in bit more for EDM to accept so Foegele and the 6th are both to sweeten the deal

Scott Hartnell is a depth signing and good experience like Justin Williams help them towards the playoffs with experience in bottom 6

It’s been over two years since Ron Francis declared that we needed a top end center. In that time, we’ve gotten both Aho and Necas. I don’t think we’re nearly as bad off, long term as many suggest.

You speak as if that’s uncommon for young centers, McDavid’s around 40%...and Crosby was horrible. It’s all part of the process.

They came into the league as centers. Aho did not and has played mostly wing in the NHL too. He is a wing. And is better served there.

Unless a 1C falls out of the sky, I think they’re rolling with in house players. Tyler Seguin would be intriguing.

I agree. Not sure RNH is a #1 center either at this point. But Faulk/Skinner 2 things they have been looking for. They have talked about moving RNH for a couple of years. Seems like there is a trade there that could benefit both teams. If not get picks for both. A ready or close to ready decent goalie prospect would be nice too.

The deal could be restructured in a few different ways, to protect them but the principles would have to be agreed on.

If not sell them off separately. Been alot of talk about Blues for Skinner. Kyrou woukd be nice piece.
