WPG making moves

Description
Lots of moves to shed salary. A prospect likely has to be given to entice a team to take Kulikov due to the injury last season even though he was effective up until that point. Then go all out and Offer Tavares a 13.5M deal for 1 year. Tavares could do this to go to a contender, while still being "selfish" and getting what he's worth (if not more). His value likely only increases with Laine and one of Connor/Ehlers/Vesalainen on his wings. I put Vesalainen there because I think his style of play would suit Laine and Tavares.

The issue for other teams becomes trying to stop both those top units especially when the third line of Connor-Little-Ros can also do some damage while the Lowry line shuts down the oppositions best.

Defence is young but Hickey comes in and stabilizes it a bit again taking a 1 year deal for a chance at a cup as he follows suit with Tavares.

It's a lot of moving parts but team would be deadly!

      Very interesting, although Scheifele is still the 1C. Tavares is awesome but Scheifele is one of the best Centres in hockey right now. I put him right there with the super Elites, Tavares is just elite. Doesn't have the speed to be super elite.

      Fair enough but it's not really a Line 1/Line 2 scenario it's 2x 1st lines and watch other teams pick their poison.

      If you "could" make all those moves, AND have Tavares take 1 year deal, AND get Hickey on a 1 year deal too to compete for the CUP that team would still be lacking a quality backup. Anything happens to Helley and you're square one. Though I guess that can be said of any teams starter going down. 5 Stars if you "could" pull it off....in reality 1 star but love the idea

      Love the hussle.

      My only issue is the risk in Adam Fox going the FA route through college. I'd rather go with Rasmus Andersson, and given that you're trading Armia, who is a pretty solid player in his own respect, I think you're validated in asking for him. You could even throw in Petan since Calgary is in serious need of bottom 6 scorers.
