    If you aren't going to have him on the PP, there is absolutely no reason to sign Tyler Bozak. dude is actual garbage defensively, and he certainly shouldn't be killing penalties. you'd be better off signing Derek Grant or Derek Ryan or someone.

    No, Holmgren would have given up the picks for 3rd liners and 3rd pairing defensemen, at the trade deadline last year. Even after these trades, the system is nowhere near as bare as when Holmgren was in charge.

    Simmonds does well both on the PK and PP. He brings leadership and unreal toughness. The intangibles are worth something.
