Your giving up to much for ROR. Especially is it’s a sign and trade. Pacioretty and ROR are comparable players already, adding in two 2nd round picks and a potential top 6 forward is over kill.

Sabre's fans are very critical of a ROR return. It was an intentional overpayment to show it can be done and not have an effect on Habs depth.

Agree that the ROR skews too much to Buffalo, but my biggest knock is that you're being reckless with the goaltending situation. Fucale and Lindgren are vital pieces if Price goes down, which history suggests he might.

Chucky for Brodin is a good deal. Not sure about the rest, but OK.

Comparable for the 18/19 sure, but ROR plays the position you're hurting for, is 2 years younger and has a deal that ends when he is 32ish. Patches will be extended likely until he is 35 or older. Buffalo would be making this trade from a position of strength...I would take a deal like this to start a dialogue between the teams. (in my opinion). Fucale would 100% need to be included in that trade. The piece Buffalo would probably make a non starter since it sounds like they are moving on from Lehner. Overall, getting Brodin is a great player to look at but I just like the potential Chemistry of a ROR Gally line if he stays out on the wing. Also, if you're a fan of Saad (this is the point of Armchair GM) the deal looks fair to me, I just feel like you'd be better off with the 3rd overall.

BUF says no way. ROR is more valuable than Pacioretty for these few reasons
1. He’s a Center, they are harder to get than wingers
2. He’s 3 years younger with 5 years left on his deal so BUF gets him for 27-32 instead of the 30-35 they would with Pacioretty. Scherbak is meh and the picks are crap shoots.

If MTL wants to convince BUF to trade ROR in division? If I’m GMBOT it’s 3OA or no deal.

Plz stop trying to trade MP to BUF for ROR MTL fans. It makes no sense

Signing the two NCAA goalies might be fine for 2021-22, but there’s a lot of development time still needed. Meanwhile, McNiven seems to be going backwards.

There are more Buffalo fans trying to give away ROR than MTL fan who want a dog who seems only adept at running his teams out of the playoffs.

The 3OA ain’t on the table, so let’s just agree that it’s no deal.

You're insane if you think the Hawks would trade their first rounder along with Saad.

Give away ROR? It’s called making trades that would fit both teams well that both teams accept. One of which this trade is not

Just saying if any group is guilty of disrespecting ROR, it's Buffalo fans. I see a guy who commands top dollar and doesn't get his teams anywhere near the playoffs. He might be a decent complementary player, but I sure wouldn't bet the franchise on him.

I mean he’s not a franchise center, but he is a great player. I know asking for 3OA is a lot but that’s what I would need if he’s going in the division.
