you have my attention...framework of that Leafs deal could make sense....not saying you'd need to add more...just that it'd make me think long and hard about pulling the trigger on it.

As a flyers fan i love the trade offer for Gudas. I made my own team and i had Elliot and Gudas going to dallas (with salary retained) for a 4th and 3rd round pick.

I can't say much about the Toronto trade.

And for the Panthers trade, i think it's a little off balance due to the Panthers wanting to stay as a young team and keep prospects.

Most people think Staal is worth a 1st round pick, an A prospect, and a mid-level prospect or fringe NHLer. I would take Timothy Lilegren and a 2nd.

Panthers quickly say no. Not trading Trocheck and Tippett unless it’s a huge overpayment.

Liljegren is more a deal breaker....simply due to the fact that we have no legit RHD prospects that have a chance to be a top pairing guy. Liljegren may or may not ever get to that status...but there's no plan B right now. And while I'd love Staal....trading for him with just 1year remaining on the deal when we already have Matthews and Kadri as 1-2 centres just doesn't make sense.

Trocheck put up 75 points and is on one of the most team friendly deals in the league. hes not going anywhere
