I'd rather stick with Seguin if i was Dallas. Seguin is a stud center in his prime.

It makes sense if it is only for 1 year of Seguin and goes back to Dallas as a UFA. PITs can't resign him to the 11mil/7 he is going to get from anyone in the league (11x8 from Dallas in July).

It would be poor asset management to swap a near Point Per Game center thats only 26 for a 30 year old winger who is constantly being called out for being lazy and difficult to be around. Don't get me wrong, I love Kessel, he's great on the power player and has great speed and a wicked release...I just don't see a swap like this making sense, even if he did top 90 points this year.

This shreds the Pens defense and leaves the door open for Seguin to bolt. The value isn't there in the Calgary trade, either. If he could be convinced to stay with an 8-year deal it could definitely be worth it, but there's way too much risk involved and way too many big deals sucking up cap space.

I kno was just throwing it out there for discussion... it would have to be detailed and would have to make sure to sign Seguin too....and then maybe re- trade Methot and sign a guy like Moore.

It would make more sense to ask for a guy like Johns or Honka to slot right into the lineup, although the Pens were already short on value. It could have potential, but Methot is just dead weight.

Everything from DAL people is that he is going to resign. He will probably wait until after Tavares gets his new contract to figure out what he wants to ask for.
It would take a catastrophic season for him to consider leaving. Plus they have been planning the cap around him. Interesting idea though.

Yah , they better sign him but do they give more than Benn?? I think the dude is a beast tho and dont get half the credit he should for how great he is.

I realize that you are throwing it out there for discussion... but... the discussion ends with Seguin is a center. A #1 center. Not a wing.

People need to stop trying to move centers to wing on here. Tavares. Malkin was moved to wing in one. Brassard. You moved Seguin. if you want a high end wing, then go for a high end wing.
