WPG EDM seem like perfect trading partners

Description
At # 10 in 2018 draft best C or RHD available. Stastny wants another couple tries at the CUP so takes a discount to stay with a team he feels has the best chance that will pay him a decent amount too.

EDM gets a fast scoring winger with the playmaking and speed to be able to play with McDavid. A RHD to quarterback their PP in Myers (they'd have to be able to talk extension and it would have to be reasonable). A depth scorer who's defensively responsible and can PK in Armia whos also cost controlled. Chiarot as a depth LHD with some grit which Chiarelli loves and instead of outright losing their 1st in 2018 its deferred to 2019 essentially.

WPG get gets LHD stability which they need, a somewhat downgrade to Puljujarvi who hasn't quite found his stride yet but very well might alongside fellow countrymen Laine and a 1st in 2018 at #10 to draft best RHD or C available (Boqvist, Bouchard, Dobson, Whalstrom etc) who can be ready to replace Buff or Stastny in 3-4 years to keep the window open longer.

Mason moved for CAP reasons as is Kulikov for almost nothing simply because they need the CAP space.

Hutton brought in as a quality backup at a decent price who's shown they can play when called upon.

As a jets fan, NO. We are not trading a rookie 30 goal scorer.
You can have Myers, Armia, and Chiarot and 2019 2nd for 2018 1st and Pujujarvi

Winnipeg does this for CAP reasons. Stability at LHD. Drafting a young RHD or C who in 3 years can replace Buff or Stastny (because they're going to pernially contend they won't draft in the top 10 likely for years to come). They also do this because yes, Connor is better than Puljujarvi right now but Puljujvari has just as much potential to be as good if not better especially when you consider quality of linemates and situation for both Connor and Puljujarvi. Anyone is going to pot 30 Gs on the wing of Scheif and Wheeler if they've got the talent!

To speak to your 1* rating....read the above. Also, the Jets won't be able to sign everyone so to have your top 9 look like that, while you D-core gets better at the cost of Kyle Connor is something SMART Gms do! Trust me I'd hate trading Connor because I loved him prior to his draft year and saw huge potential but to get good, you have to give good and with the contract statuses of the guys above combined with all aspects this deal makes BOTH teams better!
