Karlsson is worth way more than this, and its an absolute steal for Edmonton.

Nuge + Nurse + 1st for Karlsson imo is good for both teams

Not enough for Ottawa, I don't want RNH in Ottawa for free let alone for Karlsson.

Now this is a bold take. RNH is not near the level of Karlsson, but he is still a very, very good player.

Buy yeah I agree with some of the others. If it's RNH, Nurse or Klef are probably included as well. The Oilers can probably afford to do that, especially if Sekera bounces back.

Karlsson has all the control. That’s too much to give a team that has no say in anything he does for the rest of his career. You’re basically trading Ottawa something for the right to talk to Karlsson and try and sign him. I don’t think he’d mind playing on a team with a bigger star then himself. But the usual final argument from Ottawa fans after someone mentions Karlsson only has a year left on his contract before being unrestricted is, “he’d never play in Edmonton anyway” Like Ottawa (1.3 mill ppl) with a rink an hour out, and can’t sell out playoff games is better then, Edmonton (1.3 mill ppl) brand new barn downtown, and sells out every game, is somehow a mecca by comparison.
