Description
I would like to believe that would be enough to acquire Faulk, but he's extremely underrated. Could use a lot of help on center depth - had I chosen to sign Tavares I would not have re-signed Nash, Schaller, Grzelcyk, etc. Also not confident in Khudobin's return but re-signed him because McIntyre isn't ready IMO.

Only problem I have with the trade is that 3rd needs to turn into a 2nd. and I think this might be one of the better ideas I have seen.

If Don Sweeney ever made that trade for Justin Faulk I'd cut my ties with the Bruins. And I know he would never do that to begin with so I'm not going to stress about it.

That's a bit of an exaggeration, no? I think Faulk fits the Bruins system greatly. Cassidy's system has his defense supporting the offense, and Faulk would provide this. He can also play on the powerplay.

Like I said, he's EXTREMELY underrated, and Carolina knows that. You're not getting him for cheap at all.

Like I said, he's EXTREMELY underrated, and Carolina knows that. You're not getting him for cheap at all.


Bruins already have two guys that support the Cassidy system in Krug and Grzelcyk. Faulk is good and a tad underrated but he is not worth Krejci, Lauzon, and 2 picks. Also, he's a RHD and the B's need LHD. Sweeney can find somebody better with that package.
