Why does CAR trade its young #3 defenseman that they just resigned for 6 years for Jake Gardiner, soon to be UFA?
For a 3rd round pick? I'm not convinced.

Moreover if there is one place Carolina is stacked in the pipeline it is on the blueline. They need a #1 center. Then again, given their new ownership I wouldn't be surprised if they tried trading for a left handed zamboni.

Like the pick up of Nash but I think you are overpaying for him and playing him too high in the rotation. As a 3rd liner he is adequate. As a 4th liner he is a mismatch
