Buffalo would politely decline. This is just another mostly painless package offered for ror. Much more interested in trading him for a d, in a one for one- with a small add if needed. Lehkonen is the only player that would see the nhl for, probably several years. I would think mete or the 18 first would need to be coming back or any canadiens offer would get beat by a team that has pieces that fit better.

Whats the latest obsession with Fleury? He's alright and all but is there something that makes you want him so much?

I don't understand many of these Montreal posts. asking so much for patches who has one year left on his contract till a ufa. in this post, offer nothing for a little for hanifan who under control for years. seem not much for ROR who has years left on his deal.
Montreal have few trading pieces that really interest other teams.

I don't know if you noticed but the trade was Pacioretty + a 2nd and a top 6 D for Hanifin. How is that ''asking so much for patches and offer nothing for Hanifin'' ? Also, most people think that a 1st and prospects is a fair value for ROR. Some people might prefer a better prospect instead of two lesser, but the value is there. Finally, Hanifin is not ''under control for years'', he's RFA and CAR has many young talented players to sign and lots of depth in D.

Decent RHD prospect. IMO MTL's best RHD prospect

    Five stars for taking O'Reilly.
I think the trade for O'Reilly, Hanifin and Kylington are close enough. There may be some small tweaking not enough to cry foul.
    But what do I know.

Any reason in particular? I don't know a whole lot about him aside from his brother to be honest so when I saw you keep mentioning him it peaked my interest as well.

Stats and blood help influence. Dmen really dont come into their own until theyre like 25 or 26 so its hard calling them 6 years out, seeing his brother play in the NHL at 21 gives me the impression he can. I dont think any of the other MTL RHD prospects were to overwhelming comparatively, from what i remember, as well

the fact that Hanifan is just coming iff his elc, he is under the canes control for at least four years. you don't know the difference between a rfa and patches upcoming ufa obviously which is kinda of important when presenting trades. even if the canes have lots of dman and can afford to trade Hanifin, they should get the best deal possible. one year of max, a 45th pick and the unwanted schmenko is terrible value for Hanifin.
