I really think trading RORY would be a mistake for Buffalo.

Im a Fan of Ryan O'Reilly but I think they could trade him out now and sell him while he is in his prime. Something has to change in the top-6.

I also think that Carolina is done with Darling and wants to get rid of him at all cost. I see his signing as complete failure and Carolina wants to move on from this season. I treated Darling as having negative value in the trade from Carolina.

I think that is the common consensus in the fan base too HOWEVER... he is one of the only pieces that has value that we can use to improve other areas and not miss the contract and value he brings "too much". This is coming from an ROR fan who owns his jersey even.

I wouldn't change him lol

Look at RORY vs Bergeron over the last 3 years. Me I looked at Pts, P/GP, FOW%, BLK/GP, HIT/GP, TkAw/GP. You know just the simple stuff (didn't really look at the advanced stuff yet) Anyways if you look you'll find that RORY's numbers over the last 3 years are right in line with Bergeron's. This guy is 27yr old and putting up numbers that are comparable to one of the NHL's best two-way centers...why would you trade that? Keep building around Eichel and RORY

Am I the only one who finds it curious that the Avalanche have O'Reilly, Duchene and MacKinnon and are bottom feeders (OK 90 pts but they still missed the playoffs). Then Duchene is traded to Ottawa, who the previous year was an OT goal from reaching the finals, but now are bottom feeders. O'Reilly is traded to Buffalo and we have regressed every year he is here despite all of his face off wins and PP goals. Now with both of them gone, MacKinnon gets 39 goals and 58 assists when his previous highs were 24 and 39 and the Avalanche are in the playoffs.
What is my point? It is time to trade O'Reilly and hope some team is stupid enough to give us players as Zadorov, Compher and a good 2nd round pick

I just can't see doing it. I mean cup teams are tough down the middle. Trading away one of the best two-way centers isn't going to do that.

Montreal is a tough sell for me if we are moving ror. We need d, and the only piece that we would want is mete, which is a no go from montreal. Galcgenyuk is a significant downgrade and pach is gonna be a ufa before he would help. Bad fit.
