I thought about that and figured someone would mention it. I'd hate to lose Bear. I think that would get the deal done for sure.

Now the question is would the Canadiens deal get done with a 2019 first instead?

I don't think we can move Yamamoto. We just don't have enough forward depth. I can't see the Oilers doing it.

Gally -> 31 goals this season, the hearth of this team at 3.5M$ - plays in every situation.

Byron -> speedy af, second 20 goals seaons in a row, great in PK, 1.2M$....

nah, we aint taking what you are offering.

No with 2019 1st... but with 2018 1st... probably.
It would be a great rebirth getting 2 top 10 picks: #4: Tkatchuk + #9 Whalstrom... like this Paccioretty is expendable (Goals) for getting a good C or LHD with those top wings: Drouin, Galch, Puljujarvi, Katchuck.

I agree with you if it's the 2019 pick, but if it's the 2018 pick, I think the Canadiens would pull the trigger. See DonCholetts post. If the Canadiens had two top ten picks and Puljujarvi...I think they take that. (remember Byron is in the last year of his contract as well)
