Why? Skinner is our future and you found a way to make our team worse up front. Sorry, I'm not a fan of these moves.

Why do the Oilers want Jake Allen? Skinner has been amazing and hopefully Campbell starts to play better. A 1st for a non-need...🥴

All good. I just see McLeod as a way better prospect JP. Centers are hard to find and he can play the wing. He's a team player and doesn't wine every time he doesn't get his own way. JP is a bit of a baby.

All these deals are terrible. Pass. Ryan McLeod will not be moved by Edmonton. He's a great 3rd liner who plays the pp and pk. He's fast, hard working, the type player who can play 1st and 2nd line mins. He may end up on the second line eventually. San Jose would be seriously stupid not to take this deal.

He's injured and we're in the WCF. That being said I'd do this Philly trade if Sanheim resigned</div></div>
I'd say he had one of his worst seasons. He did great right before pay day and now he's been a liability almost every night. Hopefully it is just an injury, but it looks like he's lost his confidence and has built some really had habits. I'd be open to moving him, but I can't see anyone taking him at 9.5. He's going to be getting paid more than Leon...what the heck is that? I think we're stuck with him, unless we take on some salary. :(

Samorukov is a good prospect for the Oilers. I'm not sure it would get that deal done... he's not a nobody and is a good trade chip for the Oilers. At most I think the Oilers add a 2nd to that deal and I think the value is there. I just don't see why Minnesota would do it. Edmonton would have to overpay. Maybe a 1st included in that deal would do it.

If you had a shot at Sergachev you wouldn't take it? I think the benefits out-way the loss of another pick. Sergachev is only 22 and he's proven. Jarvis or whoever the Oilers would get still isn't proven and we'd have to wait another 3+ years for him to make the team.

Edmonton may have to add, but I can't see them throwing in Bouchard and the 14th. To steep. He may get an offer sheet, but why would a team do that knowing Tampa has to make a couple of sacrifices to sign him. Someone on TB is gonna go for less than they should.

A fourth and a prospect isn't nothing. Russells contract is one year and 1.5 million of actual salary for a decent 5-6 shot blocking d-man. Ottawa has a lot of cap.

I think the goaltending is at worst... the same. Mikko was very up and down all year. Greiss should be a slight upgrade. There are not alot of options. Signing Holtby would be stupid. As to the 3rd line...the only player traded that played(forward) was Chaisson. Bringing in Brown should help our first line. Unfortunately, we have to make do with our third and fourth line until we get more cap space and get some pics back. AA hurt us a lot.

Depends what your going for? Offense - Gaudreau gets the edge. Defense - Nuge easily gets the edge. All round player - I'd give to Nuge 60-70pts per + one of the best 2 way players vs an offensive guys who drops off the clip every couple years.
Oilers Keep Nuge and resign a guy who wants to be in Edmonton.
Oilers pass on Murray.

Oilers would normally take that deal. In this case they only do if they can move out some salary. Maybe they can make a deal with Ottawa to take Russell. I know Russell's cap hit is 4 m, but he's only owed 2.5 m in actual money next year.
Maybe Russell and a 4th for a 7th?
If Edmonton can move Russell... they take that deal immediately.

Draisaitl
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>Umm...you seem to forget the fact that even though Draisaitl's stats are upgraded by playing with McDavid, it's not like McDavid stats would be as high either if he wasn't playing with such a good player as Draisaitl is.
Draisaitl is the most likely Hart trophy winner. That literally means that he was the most valuable player this year.
Not any of those players will make it YET, but they will be making much more than Draisaitl in a matter of few years because of those QOs. Overall their current contracts plus their next contracts if signed to QO minimum will total up to more money that Draisaitl makes - and this is why Draisaitl is relatively cheap. I don't know how you can't see this.
MacKinnon wasn't this good back in 2016.
And yeah I'm pretty much done talking with you. Anything you say makes 0 sense so there's no bother wasting time here with you.</div></div>
Caniac2000 is just playing with you. He has know clue what he's talking about. Leon's last 4 year have been great and if we go back 5...he was decent then as well.
Everyone remembers Leon in the playoffs on his own line. He dominated the playoffs and was the Oilers best player. MCDAVID IS THE BETTER OVERALL PLAYER. However, when Leon is on top of his games, he's definitely top 5...maybe top 3. When he's not he's still top 10. Everyone knows it.
1. McDavid 2. McKinnon 3. Kucherov 4. Draisaitl 5. Crosby
*Leon could be ahead of Kucherov. (he is this year)
6-10 - Pastrnak, Kane, Matthew's, Marchand, Panarin.
Just missed - Malkin, Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel and OV
Put McDavid and Leon on a team with good D and better surrounding players they'd possibly be 1 & 2.
* McKinnon, Crosby, especially Kucherov have a way better team around them from the back to the front...well Pitts back end is a little weak as well...not as bad as Edmonton.
Pastrnak was on the bubble for top 5, but his team is sick. Bottom too top. His numbers drop on the Oilers.
As to his (Leon) contract. You are correct. As of today it's a great contract. He'd get 11 million plus if signed today.
Let this guy say his crap and move on. The stats don't lie.

RNH to Colorado - Who Adds Or Is It DOA
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SuckMyAvs</b></div><div>The last two sentences are why I want him on the Avs.
I get that he's important, but if you think through all the dominoes falling (cap space for a UFA signing, trading Nurse for something good, and having Byram for the next decade and a half), it seems to set up the Oilers pretty well longer term. Not saying you should be a yes, but I think the easy pass is little overstated (IMO).</div></div>
The only reason I feel it's an easy pass is because we are so weak on forward depth already. This deal hurts us upfront and we trade one d prospect for another. I'm not seeing how this makes us a better team. Neither of those prospects will play for us within the next two years and losing Nuge for Compher hurts us. I think we play out the year...Russell comes of the books next year and we don't lose Nuge. Edmonton d depth is now our strength. Larsson also comes off the book...I think your possibly right that they trade Nurse or maybe they trade Larsson this summer.
